Infini: a first look

After evaluating over 20 devices for skin tightening and resurfacing, I have finally found the best in class. Infini will be up and running at Glow in a few weeks. In this first glimpse, I'll show you how these devices work and why Infini is far superior.

There are so many machines that are all aimed at the same goal: tighten loose skin and decrease wrinkles. Many of these devices (fractional lasers, Fraxel, Thermage, Ulthera) have moderate to good results in most people, but some people don't see much in the way of improvement.

More importantly, those machines have some big drawbacks. One is pain-- the treatment sometimes can be too much to bear. Second is downtime-- many of those treatments turn your skin into a red flaky mess for a week or more. Third is risk of complications: lasers that damage your skin from the surface down can cause scarring, hypopigmentation (white spots) or hyperpigmentation (dark brown spots).

Infini is different. It does not burn or damage the skin surface the way lasers and RF devices do. It is an RF device that treats the dermis (the deep layer of the skin where your collagen is made) while leaving the epidermis (the surface layer) healthy. It delivers a pinpoint of energy into the dermis at adjustable depths with tiny insulated microneedles on its handpiece. The result is dermal collagen production without the damage to the epidermis.

The results of Infini are by far the best I've seen. I recently visited the OHSU campus and met the chief of Dermatologic Surgery. They have just about every device in the aesthetics industry, and after using them all, they have found the Infini the most effective. It is not only effective for wrinkles and lax skin, but it actually works on jowls and loose hanging neck tissue! You no longer have to hide your neck! Infini is also fantastic for acne scarring and large pores. It is also one of the most effective treatments for lip lines.
