what to expect: Emsculpt Neo

Emsculpt Neo is a non-invasive device designed to kill fat and strengthen, tone and firm muscles. Emsculpt Neo uses 2 simultaneous modalities to produce these effects. High Frequency Electromagnetic stimulation (HIFEM) produces magnetic pulses to trigger a supramaximal muscle contraction, up to 20,000 contractions on a 30 minute treatment. In addition, radiofrequency (RF) heats the skin and muscles to tighten skin, kill fat and increase the muscular improvement. The recommended number of treatments is 4. The treatment is typically 30 minutes per session, with sessions separated by at least 2 days, depending on your needs. Completing a full treatment series is necessary to maximize treatment efficacy. Additional treatments may be necessary depending on one’s starting condition and response to the procedure. Emsculpt Neo can be used to treat most any body part, including abdomen, buttocks, love handles, thighs, calves and arms.

Before Treatment

No special instructions prior to treatment. For best results, we recommend that you are very well hydrated throughout the treatment period. Successful treatment can be affected by smoking or excessive alcohol consumption, eating disorders and rarely medications. 

On the day of the treatment, wear comfortable clothing which allows flexibility for correct positioning during the treatment. Remove all jewelry and electronic devices. 

While no special diet is required, you are encouraged to eat healthfully to help promote and maintain results.

There is typically no pain associated with your treatment and there is no anesthetic required.
During the application you will feel intense, yet not painful contractions in the treated area. The procedure doesn’t require any recovery time. Typically, you can get back to your daily routine right after the treatment. 

Treatment considerations

• The treatment cannot be applied over the head and heart. 
• Emsculpt Neo cannot be done in areas of the body with implanted metal. Patients with pacemakers or defibrillators cannot be treated.
• Patients who are pregnant cannot undergo the treatment. 
• During or after Emsculpt Neo, patients occasionally experience muscular pain, temporary muscle spasm, temporary joint or tendon pain and local erythema or skin redness.
• Photographs are taken to evaluate treatment effectiveness and for medical documentation.
• Results vary from person to person and an exact result cannot be predicted. Completing a full treatment series is necessary to maximize treatment efficacy.
